Disgrifiad

A flyer advertising a free workshop for empowering communities. The workshop was led by Ray Philpott, the EU Funding Officer at WCVA, and organised by Voluntary Action Cardiff. The workshop was held on 27 July 2000 in Cardiff Bay.

Voluntary Action Cardiff was set up to enable the voluntary sector to develop skills and abilities, share information and knowledge, and help create a better community by representing the interests of the local voluntary sector.

Wales Council for Voluntary Action was originally set up in 1934 as the South Wales and Monmouthshire Council of Social Services. For 80 years, the organisation has set up a number of activities, clubs, and centres to promote volunteering and skills development in Cardiff and other regions around Wales.
