THE U BOATS’ “DOINGS.”

A GERMAN RECORD.

The London “Daily Express” reproduces the following exact translation from the German newspapers, of the official German Admiralty report on U boat “successes”.

April 12.—The following particulars are given, supplementary to the U boat successes published on April 6. Among the vessels sunk are: —The armed English steamers Snowdon Range (4.662 tons), with 7,500 tons grain, fruit, and oat flakes; Wyenwood (1,984 tons), with 2,900 tons of coal for the English Fleet; an unknown steamer of 1,800 tons ; the English steamer Fairearn (592 tons), with coal; Ennistown (700 tons): Ardenwen (3,798 tons), with 5,000 tons of sugar: Ardglass (778 tons), with steel plates ; Cannizoro (6,113 tons) ; the English steamer Somme (1,800 tons) ; Holgate (2,604 tons), with iron ore (the captain was made prisoner); a passenger steamer of the Megantic type (14,878 tons). The English sailing ships Home, with coals ; Brandon, with steel plates; Eastern Belle, with pitch. The English fishing vessels Prince of Wales, Gallatia, Moulmein. Petrel Median. Roslyn. Industria, Expedient. The English “fireship” South Arklow (on the east coast of Ireland). The French sailing vessels Broyere, with tar oil; Frigante with coal: Eugene Pergeline. with nickel; the French fishing vessels C707, C709, C795; two unarmed French fishing cutters ; the Russian sailing ship Leymer. The Norwegian steamers Korsnees. Dangali, Grenyar, with coal, Nova, with coal, Sandvik, with iron, Tizanne, with coke. Marcshall, with coal, Consul Persson, with ore, Harlyst, on the way to England. The Norwegian steamer Firius, with wheat, the Danish steamer Bergenhus, with piece goods, and the English sailing vessel Eben Eser, the Greek steamer Poseidon, with iron ore, and a further eight steamers comprising two tank steamers, besides four sailing ships, the names of which could not be determined.- (Signed), Chief of the Admiralty Staff.
