Look for the footpath immediately to your right on the other side of the fence, there is a green footpath sign to follow.

We'll begin our story of the woollen mills down by the bridge and we'll check the river to see what colour the water is

Look at the frosted glass in the windows - the Mill owners wanted to discourage the workers from looking out

Where the track bears right you need to follow the path to your left.

Go through the gate and turn right for about 20 steps and stop at the bridge, over the river Brân.

Look for the sign 'Pwllmarl' on your left. You will see a small road immediately to your left , turn left

You will see the bungalow signposted 'Maesawelog' on your left

Continue along the track until you come to a gate with the 'Pwllmarl Farm' farm sign just on the other side of it. Follow the farm lane

continue through the farm yard. This is a public footpath.

Follow the path until you come to a field on your right . Look across it to your right and you will see a red brick building.

Follow the path along and cross the bridge. You will see the building that was formerly Square Hall Mills.

Square Hall Mills closed in 1957.
