To continue the tour cross the street, and follow the road to the left up the hill.

Look for the gate on the corner. This is the cemetery of Capel Penrhiw

Go through the gate to the chapel marker

Many of the Mill owners and workers are laid to rest here

The early schools at this time were held in the chapels

As you come out of the cemetery turn right and follow the road down the hill for about 5 minutes

Our tour continues down the little lane on your right

leading to Dolwion Mill

Continue following the path past the Mill

Carry on over the bridge. crossing the river Bargod once again, until you come to the main road

Turn right and you'll see 'John y Gwas' pub ( yellow building) in front of you.

As you cross the bridge over the river Esgair look for the village school across the street

Ysgol Gynradd Penboyr is a church school

As the village grew so did the school

Next to Ysgol Penboyr you will see St Barnabas Church

In the cemetery you will see large tomb stones for the owners of the Woollen Mills and their families

At 'Sgwar y Giat', you will see a house on the corner opposite the church. This was at one time the village bank

This was how the store looked when it was the General Village Store at the height of the Woollen Industry

Opposite the shop you will see 'Neuadd y Ddraig Goch', the current village hall.

The hall was built in 1964. Johnny Lewis, the owner of Cambrian Mills paid for the work.
