Disgrifiad

The Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama. The Executive Committee were the minds behind this society and this item shows the minutes of an Executive Committee meeting.

In this entry, page 176, the Committee praises the Choral Section for another successful year with their performances of Messiah on 27 March, the sixth Claudos Anthem and the Schubert Mass in G at Llandaff Cathedral on 22 July 1958, a Carol concert in St John's Church, and performances at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Festival of Wales and at the opening of the Empire Games.
