Disgrifiad

The Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama. The Executive Committee were the minds behind this society and this item shows the minutes of an Executive Committee meeting.

In this entry, page 161, the Honorary General Secretary's Report describes how it has been a successful year for the society in relation to the Choral Section's performances, which included the Messiah on Good Friday, 19 April 1958 in the Gaumont Theatre, St Matthew's Passion in Llandaff Cathedral, the Mount of Olives being broadcasted in January and many performances at Cathays Methodist Church.
