The Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama. The Executive Committee were the minds behind this society and this item shows the minutes of an Executive Committee meeting.

In this entry, page 138, the Honorary Secretary's Report describes the success of the Operatic section in its performance of 'The Gondoliers' and the decision to produce 'The Student Prince'. He then praised the Choral section for its busy year with performing at the Lord Mayor's Banquet, at the City Hall for the Free Church Conference, a broadcast with BBC for the Cardiff Jubilee, a performance of 'The Canterbury Pilgrims' and their annual performance of Messiah. He finally praised the Orchestral section for their annual performance of the carol concert. All of these performances were done well and were a great success for the society.
