'Mormon' missionaries David Jeremy and Daniel Thomas made a poor decision when they preached near Saron Welsh Independent chapel one evening in 1854. They were chased by members of the Saron congregation and David Jeremy received injuries that affected his health for the rest of his life. Fortunately the attackers were stopped and David Jeremy's wounds were bound by much kinder local inhabitants.
