ORDERED BACK

At Aberavon on Tuesday, John Brown (coloured), and Conrade Christiansen, Norwegian both sailors belonging to the s.s. Mount Coniston lyiny at Port Talbot Docks, were charged with deserting their ship.

Captain Metcalfe said that defendants went ashore on Monday afternoon without permission.

In reply to the Chairman of the Bench, the Captain said that it was not his desire for the men to be punished. He simply wanted them to be ordered back to the ship, as the vessel was sailing next tide.

Both defendants were "ordered back."
