You can see the railings of the former Chester Street Baptist Chapel on the right of the photograph. According to W A Williams' Encyclopedia of Wrexham the Old Meeting was demolished in 1875 and replace by a chapel and adjoining school room. The latter was replaced and now serves as the chapel. The 19th century chapel is no longer standing. I went inside that building to arrange for a surveyor to check out a house that I wanted to purchase in 2010: it is a lovely old fashioned building inside and on what appeared to be his office desk was a great pile of fag ash. If there was a computer it was hidden away, likewise the ash tray. However, he was a top notch surveyor.
