The Welsh will not forget about the St. David's celebration on Friday night in Dithridge St. Congregational church. A social was held in Oakland hapel on Thursday night. Morgan Evans of Idlewood was ill this week. His wife, Mrs. Jane Evans had an eye operation at the beginning of the week. Both are recovering. Prof E. Gordon Jones of Wilkinsburg has opened a studio in Homestead. We hear that he succeeded excellently in his music examination. Dithridge Sheet chapel services. Sudden news of the death of David J. Evans, the blacksmith of Wiknot Street, Oakland which took place early on Friday morning. He had been ill for several weeks and when he went outtoo soon in orderto vote on Tuesday, he caught a cold and took a turn for the worse with typhoid pneumonia. His funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon. He was born in Ebensburg and from there he came to this city about 35 years ago. He was the son of John and Ellen Evans who live on a farm in the Ebensburg area. The departed had sweral brothers and sisters living in Ebensburg. His widow and three children surviye him. Last Tuesday nigh! John D. Jenkins of Jeannette, Pa died at the age of 76. Before moving to that place he live in the South Side in this city for many years. He was buried in the South Sidp cemetery on Thursday afternoon. He is survived by four children: Daniel W. and David F. Jenkins, IvIn, F. S. Rowe of Jeannette and Mrs. J. P. Haddock of San Diego, Cal.
