Three traditional tunes from Wales. The song 'Llongau Caernarfon' tells the story of a young boy who longs to become a sailor. The tune is of unidentified Norwegian origin. First printed in "Cerddi Portinllaen" by J. Glyn Davies. 'Dŵr Glân' is a traditional Welsh hornpipe. Tylwyth Teg is a Welsh variant of the well-known reel 'Fairy Dance'. Versions of this tune are found in all traditions of the British Isles. This recording is from a joint project between trac and Musik Dalarna in Sweden, with traditional Welsh tunes performed by ten young musicians under the name 'Degogenod', recorded at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff on 7 August 2003.
