As stated on the postcard “ La Guerre dans le Nord. Vermelles – Dans les Ruines – La visite du Prince de Galles” . Postcard sent by Harry White of the 2nd Battalion of the Welch Regiment to his sister, Lillie White of Carmarthen, showing a visit to the ruins by Edward, Prince of Wales. He wrote “Near by, during our last few days in..all desolation”.
