I think this might be my grandfather, Evan Henry Rowlands, who was a driver with the 8th Army in North Africa and Sicily. He was born in Ceinws and lived in Aberllefenni when he was called up. We only have a formal photo of Evan, taken before he went out, so it is interesting to see this, if we have the right Evan Rowlands!

Yes, I am sure it is the same one as he was born in my cottage ( Yr Efail ), Ceinws. My dad was Kenneth Rowlands and my Great uncle was Lewis John Rowlands. There is a photo of Yr Efail on People's Collection Wales and if you are interested in family history, I have a tree on ancestry.com, maybe you could try the free trial ! Julia Gunn ( Rowlands )
