Peg and ball lamp
Disgrifiadau
A type of simple oil lamp commonly used around the end of the nineteenth century in the relatively gas free shallow underground workings of Wales. It consists of a globular oil vessel (the 'ball') and a wick tube (the 'peg'). The name comes from its similarity to a child's toy of the period.
