This is a photograph of the training certificate of Charles Pope, a Royal Navy Veteran, whom served between 1918 to 1945. The certificate is dated 7th June 1935 and relates to Charles passing his driving examination on the island of Malta. Charles was serving aboard RN ship HMS HMS Douglas. Photographs of Charles and the ships he served on, as well as more documentation can be viewed in the Charles Pope collection on the West Wales Veterans archive. the certificate is in the possession of Charles' son Edward and remains with the family. It is a remarkably well maintained document.
