Disgrifiad

In May 1926, over 2,000 women gathered in Penygroes, Caernarfonshire waving the 'blue flag of peace' to begin the North Wales Women's Peace Pilgrimage to London - calling for Hedd nid Cledd', 'Law not War' in the settlement of international disputes. Marching via Caernarfon (where a stone plaque in Cae Llechi was laid in 2016 to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Peace Pilgrimage), and the great castles and small towns of the North Wales coast, many open public 'peace rallies' were held, before Wales' pilgrims joined at Chester those marching from Carlisle and the Scottish Borders. Together onwards they marched to Hyde Park.

This report records the UK-wide campaign of the Women's Peacemakers Pilgrimage, across all of the organisations and movements involved and all parts of the UK: Scotland, Midlands, Anglia, Brighton, Hampshire, Lands End / Cornwall, as well as the North and South Wales Pilgrimages supported by the WLNU.

From the collections of Wales' Temple of Peace - built to house the Welsh League of Nations Union (WLNU) - who through the British LNU were partners in the Joint Council of the Peacemakers Pilgrimage, collectively publishing this report on behalf of:
