A painting titled 'Rhayader Radnorshire from the Old Aberystwyth road' published in 1856. This picture is looking down what is now 'Station Road' towards the bridge. This painting was completed before the railway was built, diverting the old Aber road. The gate on the left of the picture is thought to lead down to the old Mill. The tall building in the background is believed to be the Tabernacle Chapel.
