Postcard posted from Elan Valley by Pte Thomas (marked with an X) to his brother who was servcing in the 2nd Gloucester Regt in Malta. On the postcard he notes that they have just returned from the riots in Liverpool and goes on to say "we had just retuened from a day on the hills when this was taken". The riots mentioned are believed to be those related to the Liverpool Transport Workers strike which happened mid August 1911.
