Rega vs Henry Frost
Samuel Parsons Tyler & Plasterer
lives at the Handpost on the
road to Risca from Newport
about a quarter of a Mile
from the Turnpike Gate at
Stow Hill I came from Chapel
about 1/2 p 8 Oclock on Sunday
Even-g the 3rd Novr last then
I came home there was a
man at the Door. I had left
________ crying when I came home
__they were
my Children in the House ^
they told me the man had been in the
House & taken off his Cloathes & dried himself
I did not know the Man
^he was knocking at the Door to get
in again which the children had fastened
^ I asked what he wanted He
said a pint of Beer & I said
I do not sell Beer. He asked
me the Road to Risca I told
him and he went away

He was ^ dressed in a Smock frock.
I sat up reading a bit three
Men came into the House and
said "I was to go with them"
_they said they would tell me when I came
" I said where to?" I said I should
not I was going to bed they said
Tudalen 2:
I must come (this was about
10 Oclock). I went with them
about 1/2 mile on the Road to
Risca with them and stopd
and said "I should go no farther"
they said "I should" and forced
me on until we came to the
Welsh Oak. There were a great
number of Men there. The three
men had Sticks or Clubs. The Men
I saw at the Welsh Oak were
armed with Guns Pikes &c.
I did not remain there long
but ran away as fast as I could
2 men came away with me
I did not know them they told me
______came down from
they ^ Pont Apperpergam
near the Fleur de luce. Henry
_who was I believe dressed in a great coat & Cap
Frost [Hy] ^ also came along with
us from the Welsh Oak. I knew
him before
Tudalen 3:
I was talking to the 2 Men who were
with us I did not hear Henry
Frost say any thing When we
came opposite my House
I went in and
^ Henry Frost followed
me into the House and Thomas
Williams who works with
_______came in afterwards I had not
________seen him before
me followed ^ this (was
about 3 Oclock in the morn-g)
Williams asked me if I was going
to work and I said it was not
time to go to work we had been
working at
Abercarne together. I told Henry
Frost & Williams that I wanted
to lock the Door to go to Bed They
then went away together
I did not see which way^ they went
as I locked the Door directly they
left
. It was a very wet night
I was wet thro'. Thomas Williams
lives at Bains well & has been
working with George Lewis
I have never attended Chartists
meetings in all my life. I have

and others but I never would go

me was I told him young Henry
Frost He asked me who I was
I told him I was a Plasterer
& Tyler at Newport We
talked about Chartists Meetings
but I told him I never
attended any - He told me
he was took and brought
away from home and
had got away from the
mob.
