I spoke of before - It was about seven o'clock when I
went to the Coach & Horses - there were many people about

there about 10 minutes - Frost and Davies were close
together while I stood there - I never was at the Welsh

the Coach & Horses - I know Risca - between Risca
and the Welsh Oak I saw a man on horseback who
asked us why the Devil we did not come on faster
why did we hang back there - "there were five or six
of us coming along together - he also said that half
the Soldiers were gone to Abergavenny - the man on
horseback had a short cut coat on - there was a
halter on the horse and not a bridle - The man on
the horse also said "you are enough to eat Newport"
I saw John Frost at the Welsh Oak and heard him
say that all those who had pieces were to come
forward on the Turnpike Road - all who had Guns
