The Information of
Jane Thomas Servant to Richard
Pugh of the Coach & Horses Blackwood.
I have lived with them 5 Weeks.
_______Mr Jno Frost of Newport
I have seen him ^ I saw him ~
__ the Sunday night before the Newport
~ last a Month tomorrow night ^ Riots
he called for a glass of Beer
at my Masters House --
And went out again. He
had a glass of Beer. I waited
upon him. I drew it- I did not
see him speak to any one
_____between 6 &
this was 7 O'clock
I did not see any one with
him he did not stop a minute -
I cannot say which way he
came from or went away
to - It was wet it rained
all the Evening - I did not
see him with an Umbrella.
My Master and Mistress were
at home that Evening they x
Mr Frost went out x Jones x

[?] came in ^ and called for a Glass of

Brandy & water and went out ^ again ... Frost
Master went out ^ and

& on the Friday - I have only seen him

some breakfast - He was
backwards and forwards
there all day - I saw W

They called

calling him by his name
Mr Frost, Jones & Williams
x had Tea together in the
afternoon - it was dark
they went away directly after
Tea - My Mistress
waited upon them they had
their Tea in the Parlour
I did not wait upon
Mr Frost, Jones or Williams

there before. I saw Mr Wm
Davies of the Shop son of Roger
Davies he was at my Masters
______ at the same time that
House Frost, Jones
__________were there
& Williams ^ on the Sunday before
the Riots. I saw Wm Davies
going down the Road the
Monday after the Sunday
___about 12 o'clock in the morn-g
on Horseback ^He wrode a
brown Horse or poney like
Horse. I don't think the
Horse had a long Tail.
I saw Wm Davies at his
Father's Shop one day before
that week. There is a Lodge
held in my Masters long Room
I do not know the name
of the Lodge. I saw my Master
last the Wednesday after
the Riots he said he was
going upon business
He did not say where. I have
not seen him since.
W. Jones & Williams came
down to our House the

Wednesday before & had Tea
they stopd all night. I did
not see any one else
No one else was there
but them .
We heard the Sunday Evening
that the Colliers from the Hills
__________were coming down
& the Iron Works I heard them
say
them the Chartists were
coming down, after Frost
______had left
& Jones I heard them it was
not very long after Mistress
ordered the House to be shut
up Master was gone out
He went out directly
after Frost . It was 10

O'clock before returned
No one came into our
House after. It was soon
after 7 when the men came
down. Jones came in between
6 & 7 and went away again
directly after - he did not stay any
time. Wm Davies had a Hat on I only saw
him once. I believe the Hat was
a white one.
Jones had no great Coat on
