States I have known Zephaniah Williams
these 15 years I have known him
since he had 6 d a day as a little
Boy . The first time I saw Z. Williams
was at the time Vincent was up
speaking at Gellygross at Battens
in a field by his House I saw
Z.Williams and Jones of Pontypool
going by the Bryn in the Week day before
the Riots. I was just come up from
the Pit. I did not see Z. Williams
till at the Welsh Oak on the Sunday
night of the Riots . I was at the Greyhound
on the Sunday night before the Riots.
I saw a Man with a glazed Hat light
colored Coat and a Red Cravat round
his neck - who is called John Reynolds
a Preacher. ( I had seen him and Frost
before at the Greyhound speaking
sometime before) He had a candle
or Lanthorn in his^ hand He was on the
first and called the Men on and
was leading them - I saw John
Frost at the Coach & Horses
that night he ^ had on a rough
Coat like the Sailors do wear a napped one
