I came across this photo and one other of a group of a sailor outside the church as part of my research into the history of St Cybi's Church, Holyhead. The suggested date for the photos is Sept/ Oct 1918, but it may have been November.
There is a dedicated website for the Submarine Chaser boats and this has a photo of SC 254 docked at Holyhead for Armistice Day, November 11, 1918. Go to http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/150254.htm for the photo and more information about this ship.
