Richard McLean
I was born in Mid Wales where my love of the mountains, their wildlife, flora and the skills needed by remote communities to survive there, prospered. I trained at the Royal Agricultural College and the Universities of Birmingham and Wales, spending my early career in agriculture. A career change brought me into education where I shared many of my skills and interests with the young people of Dartmouth.
In my formative years I knew the mountains intimately. This depth of knowing which reaches beyond familiar fauna and flora led to writing my stories about the magic world of the Tylwyth Teg.
