"Ysgrifennais hon er cof am yr holl eneidiau coll, yr holl
gyrff na chafodd fyth eu canfod wedi trychinebau glofaol
ar hyd a lled y byd. Boed iddynt oll orffwys mewn hedd."

'CATHEDRAL'
My soul is entombed, a cathedral below.
I still walk the face, having nowhere to go.
On the day of the fall, I was sitting alone,
my brothers were there, our shift was all done.
The props started creaking, but I paid no heed,
the noise was like thunder, I shielded my head.
The roof started caving, I ran back down the face,
black dust and rock, all giving chase.
I then had to stop, I had no place to go,
curled up in a ball, deadly silence did follow.
I kept my eyes closed, praying, 'GOD'  let me live,
life flashing before me, 'twas then  'I BELIEVED'
I opened my eyes, pitch black, no light,
the face then lit up, a fireball in full flight.
Consuming my air, lungs bursting and burning,
then I passed out, 'twas the end of my journey.
No return to the surface, my tomb now below,
my soul always wandering, with no place to go.
I pray each day, in this cathedral below,
not for myself, but for living brave souls.
