Disgrifiad

Sue Bowyer shares her story of involvement in Welsh Women’s Aid. She explains her progression from grass roots campaigning for local volunteer groups in Cardiff, her initial employment with Welsh Women’s Aid as an admin worker and her eventual position at Atal y Fro in Barry, campaigning on issues such as housing benefits in refugee finances.

Sue talks about how proud she is of the battles fought in the 1970’s and 1980’s by Welsh Women’s Aid and how they impact where we are now.

This digital story was recorded for Forty Voices Forty Years’.
Forty Voices, Forty Years is a heritage project led by Welsh Women’s Aid in collaboration with the George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling at the University of South Wales.
