This photograph also appears in Dyffryn Aman a'r Cylch by Brian Lewis. The textthere says "In 1872 Amman Iron Works acquired a three-mill Tinplate Works. In 1891 the Iron Works closed down, steel having superseded iron in tinplate manufacture. In 1897 the Tinplate Works ceased operations and subsequently closed down."
