Disgrifiadau

Adysgrif:

"Carmarthen,
10 October, 1843.

My dear Sir,

The soldiers are now at Pontardulais, and I have ordered two policemen to go there. Soldiers will also be at the Cross Hands on Thursday, and at Lanon, which, as well as Gellywernen, will be occupied, and at each of these places two police-men will be put.

Will you, if any of these parties apply to you as a Magistrate, do whatever is requisite?

Pontyberem also will have twenty men, and I hope, till some further arrangements can be made, the Llanelli Magistrates will act there, but in all these places it will only be requisite they should go if an actual tumult is expected, which I do not now anticipate. The police say all is quiet now about Pontyberem.

Yours very truly,
Geo. Rice Trevor."
