Llythyr oddi wrth y Cyrnol Trevor (Arglwydd Dinefwr) at [?William Chambers], 16 Awst 1843 [tudalen 1 o 2]

Disgrifiadau

Disgrifiad gan George Eyre Evans (cyfieithiad):

"Y ddau ddyn a gyfeirir atynt yn y llythyr hwn oedd Francis M'Kiernin, a George Laing, tafarnwyr o Lanelli. Fe'u daliwyd a'u cyflwyno gerbron y Fainc yn Llanelli wedi'u cyhuddo o gymryd rhan yn ninistr Tollborth Sandy, Llanelli, ar 2 Awst. Fe'u cyflwynwyd i sefyll eu prawf yn y Brawdlysoedd nesaf, ond rhoddwyd mechnïaeth iddynt."

Adysgrif:

"Carmarthen, 16 Aug., 1843.

My dear Sir,
I am much obliged to you for your letters. I will speak to Col. Love on the subject of furnishing smaller detachments than of 50 men for the purposes you mention, and I will beg him to send such an order as you can see to the Officer in command at Llanelly, if he shall be of opinion it is possible, in accordance with his instructions from the Government, and make any alteration in the way you suggest.

I am glad you have caught those two men.

Believe me, very truly yours
Geo. Rice Trevor."
