There was great interest when the farm was sold after the trial and imprisonment of Michael Onufreiczk for the murder of his partner, Stanislaw Sykut. It was the first case of somebody being convicted for muder without a body being found. Farm sales were always well attended but not always photographed. The auctioneers were Dilwyn Thomas and Howard Clee.
