So glad to get your nice long letter this morning. I have read it over and over - I am not the least surprised to hear what the Duke thinks of you and have always told you you are the most popular and the most fascinating woman I know not to mention the most fetching - Am so glad you enjoyed the Garden party Darling & I am sure every body was delighted to see you there.
It is Dad's birthday today and we are going to drink his health in a ............of the ........ I have no doubt you are doing the same. I am sending you some amusing enclosures : the invitation to Mrs Blumenthall's party has followed me well about!! Burn it - I have expected the photos this morning : hope they will come soon. I am longing to see them - I have to go to Carmarthen Wednesday for County Council: it is hardly worth my while coming up for so short a time and I don't like leaving .......here alone but I will come if you really want me Darling.
I wonder if ...... ......has come off yet : it sounds imminent - Jimmy sends you his ....love .........Goodbye my darling 200 ....80 and am longing to cuddle you
