Born in 1947, Bernard Mitchell is a photographer living near Morriston, Swansea. He was invited to Josef Herman’s Chelsea studio in 1996 to take his portrait. These portraits are now iconic images of Herman in his later life. B. Mitchell recollects his visit to J. Herman’s home and studio.
