Anfonwyd y llythyr hwn at Arglwydd Newborough, Glynllifon, gan H. Rumsey Williams, Penrhos, ei gyfreithiwr, 3 Ebrill 1836. Mae'r llythyr yn darllen fel a ganlyn:
'My Lord,
Warrants have been taken out against the Persons for the riot and Assult on your Lordship's Tenants at Cilgwyn Mountain; & I'll thank your Lordship to let me know whether they are to be bound over for Trial at the Quarter Sessions, or at the Assizes. If they are to be tried at the Quarter Sessions, the probability is, the Jury will consist of persons of the same Station in life as themselves & they will be acquitted, I am, My Lord,
Your Lordship's very humble Servant,
H. R. Williams,
Penrhos, 3 April 1836
I expect several of them will be apprehended tomorrow morning'.
