Now living in Mathern,Terry Hodges was born and brought up in Sudbrook near Caldicot. He attending the local school in Sudbrook before passing the exam for the grammar school and travelling by bus to Larkfield in Chepstow. When Terry left school, he took a coachbuilder apprenticeship with Red and White bus company. Later in life, Terry took a job for 'Growing Spaces' at Pill in Newport teaching craft skills to about fifteen students with learning difficulties.
