Disgrifiad

Older Lesbian Network (35+) information sheet, single page A4, 1pp. Text as follows:

"This is a new group which has recently formed to provide a space for older lesbians to meet socially and for discussion and support. We bring food to share and the day starts with a social lunchtime. New members are welcome and there will be someone available to greet them and to introduce them around informally. The afternoon offers small group discussions on chosen topics, although this is not obligatory, and at some time during the day we will have a short business meeting to share information and to plan future meetings and activities. After the meeting, for those who are free, there will be opportunities to go for a meal/snack/drink and on to a disco or to a social event. Our next meeting is on 15 May 1993 from 12:30 to 5:30 at The Friends' Meeting House, Charles Street, Cardiff (opposite Cafe Brasil and Exit)."

The Older Lesbian Network (Wales) was established in 1993, for women aged 35 and over defining themselves as lesbian who are committed to anti-discriminatory principles. Since May 1993, monthly meetings have been held at the Friends Meeting House on Charles Street in Cardiff, and social events organised and information exchanged through a monthly newsletter. The organisation is sometimes referred to as Older Lesbian Network, South Wales or Older and Bolder. The organisation has links with related organisations, including Older Lesbian Network (based in London), Border Women Network (a social network for lesbians in mid and south Wales, Shropshire and Hereford and Worcester), and Swansea Lesbian Line (telephone advice service).
