This is a section of a German Target Map of 1941 showing Port Talbot Docks and Aberavon Burrows. Targets are indicated in purple and include the Port Talbot steel works, Calders timber yard and the Gas Works. All bridges including footbridges are also marked as targets. On the Burrows the only buildings are the disused Brickworks and Golf Club with Victoria Road linking the Jersey Beach and Vivian Hotels.
