Disgrifiadau

The Canadian frigate ムCheboque' at Port Talbot docks October 1941. Torpedoed on convoy duty in the North Atlantic, the ship was towed to Swansea Bay where the tow parted in a gale. The frigate was driven on to Aberavon sands. The Mumbles lifeboat made a dramatic rescue of the crew and the coxswain, William Gammon, was awarded the RNLI's Gold Medal.
