Prince of Wales Accepts a Model Coracle (1928)
Disgrifiadau
When the Prince of Wales became Master of the fleet in 1928, the Carmarthen Borough branches of the Mothers Union and the Girl’s Friendly Society decided to give HRH a miniature coracle in recognition of the event.
They turned to Mrs Elizabeth Thomas (nee Richards) of Priory Road, Carmarthen to make the model. Mrs Thomas was taught by her father Thomas Richards who was a coracle maker and fisherman on the Towy as was his father before him.
