Monastic ruins, Puffin Island

Disgrifiadau

Aerial view of Ynys Seiriol, (Puffin Island) named after the 6th century monk, St Seiriol, (who was the son of Owain Danwyn of the Kingdom of Rhos, modern day Rhos-on-Sea.) The ruins on the island are attributed to St Seiriol. The puffins that gave their name to the Island in English have long since gone do to rat infestation on the island which obliterated the puffin colony. Photo taken 26 January 2006.
