Tre'r Ceiri stone circles on top of Yr Eifl
Disgrifiadau
A closer aerial view of The plateau on the southernmost peak of Yr Eifl mountain overlooking Trefor, near Caernarfon, where a well preserved example of a Bronze/Iron Age hillfort stands. As can be seen, there are some 150 stone circles, that formed the huts for the fort's occupants. The Name of the hillfort is Tre'r Ceiri, in English it means the Town of Forts and not as is sometimes incorrectly translated from Welsh as the Town of Giants (caer/ceiri= fort/forts and cawr/cewri=giant/giants). Photo taken 26 June 2005.
