The cellars below Lower Row, Bute Town
Disgrifiadau
Lower Row, Bute Town, has a vaulted lower ground floor that may have been a separate unit, continuing the tradition of "dual-row" dwellings (i.e. 2 houses on top of each other). These were used when the population of the community increased from a high of almost 450 in 1871 when the houses were flooded with workers building the railway, to a low of under 200 in 1881.
