Dedicated primarily to the miners lost in the Marine Colliery mining disaster of 1st March 1927, also to commemorate all miners who have lost their lives in mining accidents and disasters in the Ebbw Fawr valley.
Not forgetting those from Cwm who left the colliery and went to war never to return.
