I have just finished two days cutting at Blaenserchen and Llanerch pit-heads as part of a cutting team. We were removing self-seeded Lodge-Pole Pine, with, I assume and hope, the eventual end of allowing natural regeneration of Beech. I live in Abergavenny and had never been up to Pentwyn before. I was mesmerised by the beauty of the valley and moved by the history. I have been both privileged and humbled to work there.
