Thanks very much for your comment, I hope you've been able to show the photograph to your father. If he has any memories of working at the Woollen Mill, we'd love to hear them.

My father (in Law) has seen the photo. He has a copy of this one and another similar one. We also have a lovely photo / postcard of his mother Nain Penmachno in costume, Annie May Jones (later Davies) entitled 'Welsh Girl Bettws Y Coed' Arfon's grandfather on his mothers side produced and sold the postcards which featured his 3 daughters. Arfon has tales to tell of his time in Penmachno woollen mill and I must record them. I know Richie Thomas, Penmachnos most famous singer who appears in the mill photos took Arfon to Eisteddfods where Arfon recited and on at least one occasion won. Richie Thomas was a cousin of sorts but I do not know the exact connection. Arfon's granddaughter certainly inherited the singing gene having won the S4C Waw Factor, and sung in 4 West End musicals etc.

Fantastic! If you ever get a chance to record Arfon's memories, they'd be a great addition to People's Collection Wales. Thanks again for your comments.

Just to add for the people of old Penmachno, Rebecca Trehearn, the granddaughter of Arfon Davies, was awarded an 'Olivier' in the Albert Hall on sunday the 9th April 2017 for ' Best supporting actress in a musical ' Wonder if the boy could have ever have dreamed of something like that while he worked at the loom :)
