On Tuesday 21st July 2026, Age Cymru Dyfed facilitated a visit by the UK Veterans heritage interviewer from 'The Last of The Greats' to British Army Veteran Bruce McCay at his home in Wales. Bruce shared his experience of serving with the 7th battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers in World War Two and afterwards signed the WW2 Union flag, which each Veteran interviewed by TLTG is invited to sign. Bruce's was the 58th signature on the flag and viewers will see he proudly adds the text '7 RWF' next to his signature. Following the visit, his partner DI Hendrick, contacted Age Cymru Dyfed to offer thanks for 'making an old man very happy'.
