My dear Gordon,

I am glad the 29th will suit you & I hope you will be
able to stay later than Tuesday, which is on the 3rd. Yes
the hotel people will certainly let you have a closed cab. If
you don't catch the 3.45 (not 3.40 now), there is the 5.12.
Be sure it is the 5.12 as there is another train at about 5.5
which is very slow. I will keep Mrs. Woods for you & I shall have
two volumes of Herbert Trench for you to look at. He seems to me
very good. --- [The weekend tickets can be had all the
year round.]
Good luck to your lungs & love to you both from all of us.
You should see my pile of review books, then you would
not blame me for running away so soon, though my immediate
task is to chop wood.
Your ever
Edward Thomas
