There was a chap drowned up here from Pontypool by the name of Watkins he was supporting a widowed Mother but I don't think I know him. They sent him home Tuesday or Wednesday had a military funeral and sent 6 men and a Sergeant and a Commander to go to the funeral. They have just rung the fire bell there is a fire at the powder works at Penrhyndeudraeth I have just heard the explosion so it must be serious. Well I must close now as I am off up to see it.
