Disgrifiadau

Gunner M. Charles Jenkins, 1587, served with the 121st Battery Royal Field Artillery. Transcription: Dear Ethel and Ern Just a few lines in answer to your most welcome letter and to say I received parcel quite safe and enjoyed contents. I am glad to say I am in the best of health as it leaves me at present. I am sorry to hear you have had babs so bad hope he will soon get better. Yes I expect I shan't know the boys when I get home. I expect they are getting fine boys by now. Yes I am glad to say cake came quite safe and did not get smashed and I had just run out of fags. Yes you might as well ask a brick wall to do anything as ask her. I won't half shift her when I come back. Yes I expect everything is getting dear and will be for a long time after the war but never mind it is no use grumbling is it. I don't think I had better get married. Yes I expect you have been busy it is a lot of work papering. Yes Nell told me about Grand-father. My word they don't half get about in their old age although a change will do them good. I am sorry Ern has the toothache so bad tell him he must save up and have some false ones. I have broken one of mine in the front with a biscuit. Well dears I think this is all now so will close with the best of love to you both from your loving brother Charles xxxxxxxxxx for the boys x big one for Ernie.
