The photograph shows EIinor Imhof's great grandmother, uncle as a boy, great uncle and great aunt in front of Siop Uchaf, the William Jones family.
There were also buildings across the road, including a salting house. The shop sold groceries of all kinds, and also coal. The uncle did not return from the war and so the shop was rented out to the Bryntirion family.
